Pasta with Italian Sausage & Pumpkin Sauce

Creamy pumpkin pasta with Italian sausage, warm spices, and Parmesan cheese.

- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 1/2 onion diced
- 4 garlic cloves minced
- 1 15 oz can pumpkin puree
- 1 14.5 oz can chicken broth
- 1/2 cup half-and-half
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- Salt and black pepper
- 1 16 oz pasta
- Grated Parmesan
- Italian seasoning optional
Cook sausage in a large skillet until browned; drain excess fat.
Add onion and garlic; cook until soft.
Stir in pumpkin, broth, cream, sour cream, and spices. Simmer until thickened.
Cook pasta according to package directions and drain.
Toss pasta with sauce and serve with Parmesan and seasoning.
